Audition Class Opportunity

Help yourself be prepared for the upcoming auditions!

--SLP Community Education and the Old Log Theater are proud to announce a new partnership that will allow us to offer additional theater based programming for SLP Junior High students. Everyone who plans on going out for the spring musical will be especially interested in our first class, Audition Prep and Stage Presence. Join Maria Stukey as she prepares you for your upcoming audition. Maria has a rich history in theater as a director, performer, choreographer and dance captain. This week long camp will work specifically with songs and dance routines from the upcoming musical, High School Musical. Interested parties can register online or over the phone with SLP Community Education. Please contact Community Education with any additional questions.

Winter Play at SH


Please support the arts in SLP schools! Many of these kids are SLP JH theater alumni, so check out how they have continued to improve and show off their talents!

Set in a fictitious Northeastern town, “Almost, Maine” follows nine quirky couples falling into or out of love under the magic of the Northern Lights. A stranger arrives on the doorstep of a local repairman, carrying her literal broken heart in a brown bag. A sad sap with an unfortunate tattoo drowns his sorrows when he learns of his old flame’s pending wedding. A man incapable of pain is gets a blow to the head and the heart. A frustrated woman returns all the love her boyfriend gave her--in lumpy garbage bags. Two friends literally fall for each other in an unexpected romance. A married couple in search of a missing shoe finds the flaws in their relationship. A lonely traveler returns home to answer a long-looming question. An inexperienced tomboy finds awkward ardor--under layers of snowmobile gear. And a woman circles the globe to come closer to her love.

Evening performances of “Almost, Maine” are January 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. The January 15 matinee begins at 2:30 p.m. All performances will be held in the high school auditorium, located along the West 33rd St. entrance. General admission tickets will be available at the door: $5 for students and seniors, $7 for adults.
