CAST LIST POSTED

After much deliberation and math (parts are cast using a scoring system combined with judges input), the cast has been set for "Seuss of R & J". We are really excited to work with such a talented group of young actors, but it was hard to turn so many away. I am hopeful to see many of the same faces in the spring!

TO THE CAST:

If you have not already done so, please see Ms. Keasling for your script before the end of the day on Friday.

We will have our first read-through on Monday. Please see Ms. Z if you can't be there.

I will have the rehearsal schedule posted ASAP and will also hand out to the cast.

If you are the parent of a cast member and do not begin to get messages from Ms. Keasling by October 7th, please email her at keasling.anne@slpschools.org to be sure she has your address.

Thanks! I look forward to a great show :)

Seuss Call Backs

WOW!! We had a record turn out for auditions! Nearly 130 people tried out for 35 parts!!! It is so exciting to have such enthusiasm, but also so much harder to make a decision. Thank you , thank you, thank you to all who participated. You all did a wonderful job and it was a joy to watch you :)

We have posted the Call Back list for the show. Please be aware of the following:
1. Some people have already been cast, and their name does not appear on the list. We are trying to keep the group small for today's auditions to be sure we get through them all.
2. Some kids coming today were not at yesterday's audition. We will be using a new score sheet for all kids, so it will be a clean slate.
3. The final cast list will be posted tomorrow after 4th lunch.
4. Props crew/ backstage crew applications will not be posted until November.

If you are not cast in the show please do not give up!! You can still be part of the crew, which is a blast. Also, I strongly encourage all of those who are not cast to try out again in the spring for the musical. That show will have more parts and is always a lot of fun!

A special thanks to Joe Polach and Randy Zutz for supervising and advising the kids while they waited to audition, we could not have done it without them. Also, a special thank you to Molly Rosen for sitting on the judges panel to give us a fresh perspective and a keen 6th grade eye!

AUDITIONS--MONDAY, SEPT. 27

There has been a slight change in the audition schedule. We are going to hold the first round of auditions on Monday, September 27th. All students interested in auditioning should come to the choir room Monday after school. We will give you a script to read and tell you everything you need to know. You just need to show up ready to read and participate.

Call backs will be held on Tuesday, September 28th (same time, same place).

If you absolutely cannot be there on Monday, then you MUST attend the call back audition on Tuesday.
